Traffic Exchanges vs. Credit Mailers

How both credit-based systems work—and why each requires a different campaign asset.

The quick comparison

Traffic exchanges deliver pages inside a rapid browser surf flow, commonly allowing only a few seconds of attention. Credit mailers deliver promotional messages to an inbox, then award credits after a member clicks through and views the destination.

Traffic Exchange blueprint

Use a lightweight, high-contrast splash page. Cut the text, place the core benefit above the fold, and make the capture form unmistakable. If a page spends most of the timer loading, the campaign never really started.

Credit Mailer blueprint

Win the click with a clear subject line, give one reason to continue, and send the member to a page that delivers exactly what the email promised. A short bridge page or lead-magnet page usually fits better than a long sales letter.

The rule shared by both

Do not depend on a direct affiliate sales page to convert cold, incentivized traffic. Capture the subscriber first, then let your follow-up sequence educate and sell over time.
